Inspiration: Blue Hope by Xerjoff
In 2014, prestigious niche house Xerjoff released a duo of fragrances that have won the hearts of fans for many years to come. These two fragrances are Red Hoba and Blue Hope, and as fragrance aficionados ourselves, it’s difficult to choose a favorite. While the former veers in oriental territory, the latter is a woody floral musk composition. Blue Hope employs the tenacity of mandarin orange and bergamot in the opening. The effervescent introduction of the perfume is eventually met with a spicy heart comprised chiefly of saffron and castoreum. While castoreum is the animalic ingredient that unites these two compositions, it leaves room for the other ingredients in the note pyramid to carry out their olfactive roles. Jasmine is full of life, and the cedar base is energizing. Our inspired expression of Blue Hope is called Dream of Turquoise, and this azure hue is established through the freshness and smoothness of the masterful composition.
